Supported Living services are designed to help people with many different support needs who want to live in their own home. That means they can keep control of their own tenancy and bills and feel fully in charge, as well as supported.

We support and encourage people in many ways so that they can focus on enjoying their own home and community and living their best possible life. Our support includes:

  • Assisted adults with cognitive disabilities with residential & social skills, including personal finances, health/hygiene and social networking. Common daily living activites and emergencies.
  • A Home of One's own, Choice and Self Direction, Assistance with selecting and moving in to a home dealing with landlord disputes and complaints
  • Acquiring household furnishings, Common daily living activites and emergencies
  • Choosing personal attendants and housemates
  • Grocery shopping, meal planning, and food preparation
  • Assistance with light housekeeping or paperwork
  • Scheduling and attending medical appointments
  • Guidance and support in goal-setting and self-advocacy & Community membership, Relationships and Flexible and tailored services and supports.

Voice4Ability will assist you to….

  • Secure financing for moving expenses and assist you to determine your on-going budget

Choice and Self-Direction

  • Interview and select you support team
  • Co-supervise your team of support
  • Develop and monitor you Individual Support Plan

Voice4ability will assist you to….

  • Maintain relationships with the people that are important to you
  • Meet new friends, neighbors and other allies in your community
  • Identify advocates that will support you when you need help
  • Utilize natural supports as much as possible

Flexible, Tailored Supports

Voice4ability will support you to:

  • Determine when you don’t need support, when you can utilize natural support, and when you need paid support
  • Utilize and maintain generic resources
  • Develop a calendar of support that works best for you
  • Reduce support when you do not need it and to increase support in times of need.
